Sprint has released its second phone that gives support to 4G networks, i.e. the Samsung Epic 4G, and announced that the handset marked one of the best first-day sales. According to the wireless carrier, the high-end features that Samsung packed inside this handset helped it become one of the best selling mobiles during its first day of availability. Unlike other Galaxy S models the Samsung Epic 4G comes with a sliding QWERTY keyboard, while offering support for 4G networks.
Moreover, the device sports a brilliant Super AMOLED touch-screen, which is complemented by a fast processor, and by two cameras, one of which is placed on the front, so as to enable video calling.
“Samsung Epic 4G is a great smartphone that delivers the guarantee of the Sprint 4G network. As we continue to build out our 4G network, more and more of our customers will realize the benefits of these amazing devices and the realities of life at these blazing-fast speeds.”
The first 4G capable device it put on sale on its airwaves, record strong sales at its first day of availability. However, these are not the only 4G-capable devices the carrier offers to its users.
Epic 4G can be purchased through all Sprint retail channels and national retail partners, RadioShack, Best Buy and Walmart for $249.99 on a two-year contract agreement after a $100 mail-in rebate.
