It has finally gone on sale in the US, with customers being able to grasp globes second 4G handset that is available at £162 ($249.99). However the phone will be a bit expensive and offered on a two-year contract so the customers have to wait for long time.
The Epic 4G is the second phone to have Sprint's 4G network which gives a superior download/upload speeds to anything in the market. Coming with Android 2.1 and the Samsung TouchWiz cover has a super-clear 4-inch AMOLED screen and the same 1GHz Snapdragon processor seen in the Galaxy S. Added to that an 8MP sensor and slide out QWERTY keyboard and it definitely has the specs to rival HTC's EVO offering.
The coming of the Epic 4G has raised the question of whether we might see something similar heading our way in the future. For a UK Android-based Samsung coming will be the Galaxy S Tab, hoping to make as big an impact in the tablet world, as the Epic 4G is aiming for in the mobile stadium.
