The Nokia N8 looks set to receive its first update within the next 2 weeks, which will upgrade the handset’s firmware to Symbian^3 1.1.
According to some of its Blogs, the update won’t bring anything revolutionary to the N8, but will add some much needed tweaks to the popular handset. Although they don’t know all the secrets, the blog confirms that Symbian^3 1.1 will offer a more user friendly interface with “touch smoothness” and an improved web browser, which we’re sure will bring a smile to the face of N8 users.
A further Symbian^3 update is expected next year, which is expected to bring something revolutionary to the handset, including “lots of new themes”.
No word on the update’s official release date, but we can expect it to land in December around the same time that the E7 is likely to be hitting our shelves. Rumor has it the Nokia E7 will be receiving the update too.
