A few weeks before, Nokia officially announced its 2 new smartphones Nokia Lumia 710 & Nokia Lumia 800. Nokia is hoping that Lumia smartphones put up a better show against Android and iOS. Let check out the detailed look at the phones.
Nokia Lumia 800: Nokia Lumia 800 has gorgeous screen and fantastic design. It is a compact, sleek and very stylish built smartphone. The unibody shell is built of polycarbonate which is very soft to touch and feels a lot more premium than normal plastic. As it has been the case with most unibody device, you can not access battery and no provision to add micro SD card.
The front of Nokia Lumia 800 is all curved glass with three capacitive touch buttons- Back, Home & Search. The AMOLED screen is vibrant & bright and goes well with the Metro UI of Window phone 7.5 aka Mango. There is an 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash which took pretty decent images or videos. The handset also comes with Nokia Drive, a navigation apps and Nokia music.
Overall, the first impression of Nokia Lumia 800 is pleasant. It is powered by a single core 1.4 GHz processor which is advanced or powerful. The mobile phone also has Adreno 205 GPU, 512 MB of RAM, a 3.7 inch touchscreen with resolution of 480×800 pixels, 142 gram in weight and 16GB onboard storage.
Nokia Lumia 710: Nokia Lumia 710 is aimed at mid-segment of smartphone market. It is a more average looking smartphone with a pretty thick design & plastic buttons. The display is not up to the standard as compare to Nokia Lumia 800. There is a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and the images are decent but nothing exceptional.
Nokia Lumia 710 is running on the same Mango that other Window devices support. Even performance is good and also comes with Nokia Drive & Music. The handset is packed with a single core 1.4 GHz processor which is enough powerful to complete a task. The mobile phone also supports 512MB of RAM, Adreno 205 GPU, 8GB internal storage and 3.7 inch TFT touchscreen with resolution of 480×800 pixels.
