Generally, when we see new version of the existing smartphones, we do expect something different like different size screen & different color body. HTC revealed new smartphone HTC Sensation XE which is a follow up to the HTC Sensation. This time, Nokia focused on the sound of its latest device and HTC added some subtle red styling to its device, on the earpiece grille around the camera lens & on the red Android icons. It looks smarter & pricier as compare to its predecessor.
Let take a detailed look:
1. The Display: HTC Sensation XE features a superb 4.3 inch touchscreen with a high resolution and screen is detailed & bright. It is the same screen that featured on the original Sensation. The other features are multi touch input method, Accelerometer sensor for UI auto rotate, proximity sensor for auto turn off, gyro sensor, HTC Sense UI & touch sensitive controls. The handset measures 126.1×65.4×11.3 mm and weighing 151 gram.
2. The Camera: HTC Sensation XE features an 8 megapixel camera and while there are better camera phones out there. The camera comes with auto-focus, dual LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, image stabilization, Face detection and instant capture. The camera also has impressive 1080p video recording capabilities and even there is a secondary VGA video call camera.
3. Beat Audio: The main features of the HTC Sensation XE are the Beats audio program and it makes the sound impressive. Beats audio comes through clear & sharp with good base along with detailed mid day notes. Even they sit well in the ear and have good noise isolating effects. They also look good with their red cables & chrome colored plastic on the controls.
The Beats audio earphones are a treat for music lovers and also give rich vibrant sound particularly for locals. . It offers fast, forward, rewind & play and you can even used to answer a call when you are listening to your favourite tunes.
4. Connectivity: HTC Sensation XE is positively bristling with wireless connectivity options. With 2G & 3G network, the mobile phone offers Wi-Fi support for the b, g and n wireless standard. There is a separate application that allows you to manage media sharing, flinging photos, movies and audios to any DLNA product in the local vicinity.
5. Operating System & CPU: HTC Sensation XE is running on Android v2.3.4 Gingerbread Operating system which is the most up-to-date version of Google OS. The mobile phone also features a 1.5 GHz dual core processor, Adreno 220 GPU along with a Qualcomm MSM8260 snapdragon. The increased power has resulted in a stutter free & slick user interface.
HTC Sensation XE has 768MB of RAM along with a 8GB micro SD card slot. It provides music lover with enough space to carry around plenty of their favourite tracks. While the internal memory is 4GB, only 1GB memory is user available.
6. Conclusion: HTC Sensation XE comes with speedier processor, better battery life and improved music quality. The improvement in the sound quality from the Beats headphones & Beats audio makes it a rocking smartphone.
