The HTC Evo 3D and the Samsung Galaxy S I9100 S 2 have got many similarities and differences. The Samsung I9100 is popularly also known as Samsung Galaxy S II. These handsets are newly announced. The HTC Evo 3D was supposedly the star of CTIA, 2011 while the Samsung Galaxy S II was special when announced at MWC, 2011. Both these phones competing with each other offering many same features, but little different from each other. Both these handsets are Android based that runs on Android v2.3 GingerBread operating system. Since these phones share some similarities between them, you certainly going to confuse to take decision that which one is the best. We are comparing both these handsets on some certain attributes. On Processor side, surely the HTV Evo 3D wins by an extra 0.2GHz. As, The HTV Evo 3D is powered by 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, Adreno 220 GPU, Qualcomm MSM8660 chipset. HTC is the first to use the new latest processor from Qualcomm. This processor is really powerful and a good choice by HTC as it is a 3D-focus device. While, Samsung Galaxy S II is powered by Dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor, Mali-400MP GPU, Orion chipset. Samsung has also done a good choice with 1GHz processor together with Mali – 400MP.

Both these phones, the HTC Evo 3D and the Samsung Galaxy S II looks really stylish and stunning. The Samsung I9100 Galaxy S 2 measures dimensions with 125.3 x 66.1 x 8.5 mm and weighing just about 116 grams. On comparing it with the HTC Evo 3D, it measures dimension with 126 x 65 x 12.1 mm and weighing quite heavier with 170 grams. Clearly, On design side, the Samsung Galaxy S II wins by its smaller, slimmer and lighter attributes.

While comparing display features of both these handsets, they both comes with a big 4.3 inches touchscreen. Although they have got same size, but there are some differences as well. The HTC Evo 3D uses 3D S-LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels which allows users to experience 3D on their phone and that too without 3D glasses. It runs the HTC Sense UI featuring various sensor capabilities. While the Samsung Galaxy S II uses its own Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 480 x 960 pixels. It also uses scratch resistant gorilla glass display with various sensor features, TouchWiz 4.0 UI and Swype text input method.

While comparing camera feature, the HTC Evo 3D comes with 5MP rear facing camera at 2560 x 1920 pixels. It can also capture stereoscopic images and videos. It has the capability to record 3D videos with 720p@30fps and with 1080p@24fps for 2D videos. A front facing 1.3MP camera is also there. While the Samsung Galaxy S II comes with amazing 8MP camera with brilliantly high resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels. A front facing 1.3MP camera is also there that supports video calling.

The HTC Evo 3D comes with an internal memory of 1GB and 1GB RAM. While, Samsung Galaxy S II or the Samsung I9100 Galaxy S II comes with an internal memory of either 16GB or 32GB options and with 1GB of RAM. Both these supports microSD card card for memory expansion of up to 32GB.

The conclusion of this comparison is quite tough as if you are a die hard fan of smartphones, it is very difficult to make choices between the two. Both these phones are at top at their own places. If you are looking for some 3D fun and experience without 3D glasses, then HTC Evo 3D wins. However, if you are looking for the successor phone to the most popular Samsung Galaxy, then go for Samsung Galaxy S II (Samsung I9100 Galaxy S II) with its super slim and eye catching looks.
